Whether we realize it or not the world is involved in a conversation.
The conversation takes place in our supermarkets, our kitchens, and at our dinner tables.
At the root of the conversation is food, but more than that, it has to do with the entire human race’s relationship with food. With the reality of peak oil, continued population growth, depletion/erosion of soils, over pumping of aquifers, bioengineering, and climate change; we now more than ever need to reevaluate our relationship with food at the most fundamental level.
Where does our food come from?
What does it take to grow our food?
Who grows our food?
Do we participate in the growing of our food?
Do we know what we are eating?
Where will we get our food in 10 years?
With current trends no longer can we take for granted that food will be a widely available, inexpensive resource.
It's time to get informed. It's time to get involved. It's time to start asking questions.
